Packaging bionics is concerned with the matter of technical inventions which can be derived from natural surface structures.
This branch of science has already brought considerable progress to civil engineering in the past, for example, the selfcleaning ‘lotus effect’ for paints and rendering, metal and ceramic surfaces.
